Knowledge Base Article #2039

Issue:
Incompatibility with MLXchange 1.5 and the new SP2 from Microsoft

Description:
Microsoft has released Windows XP SP2 which includes Internet Explorer 6.0 SP2. There are problems with this version of Internet Explorer that will cause problems with the ActiveX controls in MLXchange v1.5 and will affect printing, Listing Maintenance and the results grid.

Solution:
At this time, users that install Internet Explorer 6.0 SP2 or install Windows XP’s second Service Pack will have problems with printing, Listing Maintenance and the results grid.

To verify that you are using Internet Explorer 6.0 SP2, open Internet Explorer and click on Help and click on About Internet Explorer. In this window it will tell you if you have IE 6.0 SP2 installed.

If you have Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 2, follow the instructions below in order to get MLXchange working properly

To add MLXchange to the Trusted Sites list in Internet Explorer:

1. Click on Start, select Control Panel

2. Double-click Internet Options.

3. Select the Security tab, click on the Trusted Sites icon in the box at the top of the window.

4. Click on the Sites button.

Note:
If there is a check mark in the box labeled "Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone", you will receive the following error message "Sites added to this zone must use the https:// prefix. This prefix assures a secure connection", so make sure the box is unchecked to avoid the error.
