Ergonomic/Computer Adjustments


Neck or Wrist bothering you, try some of these ideas

  1. Adjust the height of your chair so your keyboard surface is at elbow height.
     
  2. Raise your lumbar support to the curve of your lower back.
     
  3. Raise your armrests to support your forearms... but do not rest on the arm rests.
     
  4. Add a footrest if your feet are dangling.
     
  5. Keep your mouse even with your keyboard.  Avoid thumb trackballs.
     
  6. Put monitor so top of screen is at your eyelevel.
     
  7. Use a headset if on the phone for more than 20 minutes at a time.
     
  8. Use a document holder for your papers.
