Default line spacing and default paragraph spacing in Word 2007 differ from the default spacing in earlier versions of Word

To work around this behavior in Word 2007 so that the line spacing and paragraph spacing are the same as in earlier versions of Word, change the Style Set option.

To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Open Word 2007
  2. Click the Home tab.
  3. Click Change Styles in the Styles group, point to Style Set, and then click the style set that you want to use, most likely "Word 2007"
  4. On the Page Layout tab, change "Spacing...After" to
    0 pt"
  5. Go back to the Home tab, click Change Styles again, click, and then click Set as Default.
