How To Create a DVD Using Roxio Easy CD Creator

  1. First, insert a blank DVD and it should launch the Easy CD Creator program. If not, click Start, Programs, Roxio Easy CD Creator 5, Project Selector

  1. To make a Data CD, select Make a Data CD and then Data DVD Project or
    (    To make a music CD select Make a Music CD and then     Music CD Music)
     
  2. Find all the files you want to put on the CD (usually the My Documents folder) and then click Add (in the middle). 

To Add the whole "My Documents" folder:

  • In the top left pane click "Desktop"
  • Then in the top right pane, click "My Documents" and then click Add (in the center)

Note: You can add files until the green bar at the bottom (Project Size) hits the 74:00 line. That means the CD is full. DO NOT go even slightly past that 74:00 or the CD will not work.

  1. To start the record process Click the Red Record button (in the middle)
     
  2. MOST IMPORTANTLY: Make sure Test and Record and Finalize Session are selected. Click Start Recording
     

  1. Click Close

  1. Click OK

  1. Click Cancel

  1. Click No

  1. Congratulation, you’ve made your CD.
